DThe arcus in-house quality management team underwent intensive training at a specialist seminar for materials with a focus on elastomers (NBR, HNBR, FKM, FFKM elastomers). Linus Leuenberger (authorized representative/QMB) and Sven Dudella (quality consultant) delved deep into the subject matter at an O-Ring testing laboratory. On the agenda were:
- Detailed identification of material properties
- Specific consideration of approvals for food, pharmaceuticals and medicine
- Test methods for determining quality, methods for testing hardness, density, compression set DVR, tensile set ZVR, tensile test, tear propagation resistance, durability, ageing (in hot air), cold test methods
The new findings can be used to optimize the procedures in our own test laboratory. In addition, arcus uses digital microscopes with over 200x magnification and a 3D profilometer.
